Nordic Conference of Clinical Neurophysiology 2027 (NCCN 2027)

Uppsala, Sweden | 14–16 April 2027

Session proposals

Submission Guidelines

The NCCN 2027 Scientific Committee welcomes proposals for scientific symposia, educational sessions, workshops, and oral presentations. The Committee will review all submissions after the submission deadline (August 24).

General Information

  • Submission of a proposal does not guarantee acceptance.
  • The Scientific Committee will evaluate submissions based on scientific quality, educational value, clinical relevance, originality, and timeliness of the topic.
  • Consideration will also be given to overlap with other proposed sessions and to achieving a balanced programme across the different fields of clinical neurophysiology.
  • Applicants may submit more than one proposal.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to modify, merge, or reassign presentations and sessions to ensure a coherent and balanced scientific programme.
  • Proposals should be assigned to the most appropriate primary and, where applicable, secondary conference topic.
  • The submitter must obtain consent from all proposed speakers prior to submission.
  • The proposer and session chair should be one of the listed speakers.

Diversity and Inclusion

NCCN 2027 is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the clinical neurophysiology community. When proposing speakers, submitters are encouraged to consider diversity in geography, institution, gender, career stage, and professional background.

The participation of early-career clinicians, researchers, and technologists is strongly encouraged. In particular, the inclusion of speakers and moderators within the first 10 years of their clinical or scientific careers is welcome.

Requirements for Submission

  • Presentations should be free from commercial bias for or against any specific product, company, or service.
  • A short biography (maximum 150 words) should be provided for each speaker.
  • A session description (maximum 250 words) is required for evaluation.
  • Learning objectives should be clearly stated where appropriate.
  • All presentations must be delivered in English.

Scientific Symposia

Scientific symposia should focus on emerging scientific discoveries, technological developments, or clinically relevant topics within clinical neurophysiology. Sessions should provide state-of-the-art knowledge and encourage discussion of current challenges and future directions.

Format:

  • 90-minute session
  • Three invited presentations
  • Each presentation: 20-minute lecture followed by 10 minutes for discussion and questions

Conference Topics

Topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Electromyography and nerve conduction studies
  • Neuromuscular ultrasound
  • EEG and epilepsy
  • Clinical neurophysiology in intensive care
  • Evoked potentials
  • Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring
  • Autonomic nervous system disorders
  • Movement disorders
  • Pediatric clinical neurophysiology
  • Pain and sensory neurophysiology
  • Emerging technologies and artificial intelligence
  • Translational neurophysiology and biomarkers

We look forward to receiving your proposals and to welcoming the Nordic clinical neurophysiology community to Uppsala in April 2027.
